Seeking an experienced Database Automation Engineer to automate DBA operations across Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL environments, improving efficiency, reducing ticket volumes, and enhancing MTTR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate DBA operational activities using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Build automation playbooks using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
- Analyse DBA tickets and automate repetitive activities.
- Automate user provisioning, access management, and role assignments.
- Automate database health checks, maintenance, job monitoring, remediation, refreshes, cloning, and backup/recovery validation.
- Integrate automation with IAM, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Implement self-service and event-driven auto-remediation workflows.
- Develop ServiceNow or ticketing tool workflows for service requests and automated fulfilment.
- Identify process improvements to reduce manual effort and MTTR.
