We are looking for an Architect with experience in furniture detailing, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and costing. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate furniture BOQs and coordinating with the design, procurement and execution teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed BOQs for furniture and interior works based on drawings and design requirements.
- Take accurate quantities from architectural/interior drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis and comparative statements.
- Understand furniture materials, finishes, hardware, laminates, veneers, plywood, MDF, etc.
- Prepare detailed furniture specifications and costing sheets.
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, rates and material specifications.
- Verify vendor quotations against BOQ quantities and specifications.
- Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation.
- Coordinate with the design and project teams to resolve quantity/specification discrepancies.
- Maintain and update BOQ and costing records as per project revisions.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of furniture detailing and materials.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and quantity estimation of furniture.
- Good understanding of market rates and vendor quotations.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
