About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to design, develop, test, and migrate applications built in PowerBuilder to AWS Cloud. You will work on both UI (front-end) and backend business logic, using PowerBuilder 2022 or recent versions, while ensuring smooth integration with relational databases and modern web services.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and migrate applications in PowerBuilder to AWS Cloud, using PowerBuilder 2022 or recent versions

- Work on both UI (front-end) development and backend business logic implementation

- Build and maintain integrations with relational databases (MS SQL Server / Oracle)

- Develop and consume web services and APIs, working with XML and JSON data formats

- Analyze existing PowerBuilder applications and plan migration strategies to cloud-based environments

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across UI, business logic, and database layers

- Manage source code using GitHub and follow version control best practices

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical progress

- Work independently on complex technical challenges with minimal supervision

- Support testing and validation efforts throughout the migration lifecycle

- Work 2nd shift hours to support project timelines and cross-team collaboration

Required Qualifications





- 4-5 years of experience in application development using PowerBuilder

- Strong hands-on experience with PowerBuilder 2022 or recent versions

- Experience in UI development and backend business logic implementation

- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server / Oracle)

- Experience working with web services, APIs, XML, and JSON

- Familiarity with source control systems (GitHub)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and handle complex technical challenges

- Robust communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders

- Willingness to work 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience migrating legacy applications to AWS Cloud

- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)

- Experience with SQL performance tuning and stored procedures

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices

- Experience in banking, insurance, or other regulated industries
