About the Role

We are looking for a Senior EDI Functional Architect with strong SAP business process knowledge (SD, MM, FI) to design and drive EDI solutions across third-party integrations and internal business teams. You will own the full solution lifecycle — from requirements gathering through design, coordination with ABAP development, testing, UAT, deployment, and ongoing production support for critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Work directly with third parties and the AG business/SME to understand EDI requirements

- Design end-to-end EDI solutions aligned with SAP business processes (SD, MM, FI)

- Coordinate with ABAP Functional teams to translate designs into development

- Drive testing efforts and validate solutions against business requirements

- Present and walk through solutions with business owners and AG SME for sign-off

- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders

- Manage deployment of EDI solutions to production environments

- Continuously monitor production EDI processes and provide timely issue resolution, given the critical nature of these business processes

- Serve as the functional bridge between business stakeholders, third-party partners, and technical development teams

- Document solution designs, process flows, and support procedures

Required Qualifications

- 10 years of total IT experience, with 8+ years of relevant EDI/SAP experience

- Strong SAP business process knowledge across SD (Sales & Distribution),



MM (Materials Management), and FI (Finance)

- Proven experience as an EDI Functional Architect or similar senior functional role

- Experience working with third-party vendors/trading partners on EDI integrations

- Experience gathering requirements directly from business/SME stakeholders

- Experience coordinating with ABAP developers to deliver functional specifications into working solutions

- Strong experience driving testing, UAT coordination, and production deployment

- Experience providing ongoing production support for critical, high-impact business processes

- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of solutions end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with common EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and transaction sets (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.)

- Experience with SAP IDocs and EDI middleware/translators (Seeburger, SPS Commerce, GXS, TIE Kinetix, or similar)

- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments

- SAP certification(s) in relevant modules (SD/MM/FI)

- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
