Role Description The Apparel Designer at HAIR RAP BY YOYO will design fashion-forward garments and accessories that complement the salon’s brand identity and overall client experience. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves developing apparel concepts, creating sketches, selecting suitable textiles, and refining trims and finishes to align with brand aesthetics. The designer will collaborate with salon leadership to translate creative direction into wearable fashion, ensuring proper fitting and comfort for a range of clients and staff uniforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include working with suppliers, managing samples,



overseeing fitting sessions, and maintaining consistency in design quality. The role also involves staying current with fashion trends and incorporating them into the salon’s apparel offerings.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create cohesive collections aligned with brand identity.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, drape, and durability, to select appropriate materials for salon wear and accessories.
- Experience with Trims and Fitting, ensuring garments are well-finished, comfortable, and tailored to diverse body types.
- Proficiency in sketching, pattern making, and using design tools or software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD) for apparel development.
- Understanding of current fashion and street style trends, especially those relevant to salon, lifestyle, and urban fashion markets.
- Robust attention to detail, creativity, and ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical, wearable designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with salon leadership, vendors, and production partners.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field preferred; relevant industry experience in apparel or fashion design is highly valued.
