About the Role

Business Finance runs on data pulled from across InsuranceDekho's internal tools, its ERP, and multiple third-party systems. This role owns the plumbing that makes that possible, building and maintaining the data pipelines, automations, and reporting layer that feed the team's MIS, dashboards, and planning cycles.

You'll spend your time turning fragmented, multi-source data into clean, reliable, automated feeds so that reporting is fast, consistent, and trustworthy. It's a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who would rather automate a reconciliation than run it by hand every month.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipelines & Automation

- Build and maintain data pipelines that pull data from internal tools, ERP systems, HRMS, payment gateways, and other sources into a clean, consolidated reporting layer.
- Automate recurring finance workflows, MIS refreshes, and distribution by replacing manual steps with reliable, repeatable scripts.
- Build self-updating trackers, dashboards, and MIS tables with validations so the team works with live, consistent numbers.

Reporting & Dashboards
- Build and maintain leadership dashboards and MIS, ensuring definitions, hierarchies, and figures are harmonised and reconciled across BUs and zones.
- Support monthly/quarterly board packs and guidance cycles by supplying clean, automated data feeds and exhibit-ready tables.

Data Quality & Analysis
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, scope,



recognition-basis, and timing differences, and put controls in place to prevent recurrence.
- Run ad-hoc analysis on large, messy datasets to answer questions from Business Finance and leadership.
- Document pipelines, data sources, and logic so the reporting stack remains maintainable and auditable.

What You'll Need Qualifications & Experience
- 25 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or in a data-heavy Finance/Ops role.
- Experience in a high-growth, multi-entity, or platform business is a plus.

Core Technical Skills Must-Have
- Python: For data pipelines, ETL, automation, and analysis (Pandas or equivalent).
- SQL: Strong querying, joins, and transformation skills on large datasets.
- Google Sheets/Excel Automation: Advanced formulas and automation for trackers, dashboards, and data refreshes.

Positive to Have
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Understanding of finance/FP&A; concepts such as P&L;, unit economics, and variance analysis, sufficient to build the right reporting and automation solutions.
