A. About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Analyst – Power Management Professional’ to support the implementation of Energy Portfolio Management assignment with our client. This role involves forecasting electricity demand, optimizing power procurement including day-ahead/intraday forecasting, and ensuring efficient scheduling and dispatch through our customized software The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, experience with the Power Procurement Management including day ahead and intraday procurement, Demand and Supply, Power Scheduling/ Dispatch, Load forecasting, Energy Invoice verification and DSM bill verification. As an Analyst, you will work closely with Power Purchase department at client’s end and work under guidance of Senior Power Procurement Expert.

B. Detailed expectations from the role:

- Manage/ Interpreting forecasting models.
- Analyzing historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to accurately predict and forecast energy demand
- Collaborate with energy suppliers, customers, and load dispatch center to develop and implement demand/generation estimation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of energy markets, and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Monitor and analyze energy usage data to identify opportunities for market behavior.
- Ensure Load forecast planning horizons and their impacts that range from short-term to long term with their Transmission corridor availability.
- Ensure Scheduling and Dispatch optimization with proper understanding of Day ahead Dispatch model/schedule Optimizer considering all kind of signed PPA.
- Ensure necessary required actions/compliances as per the MERC’s DSM Regulation 2019 and coordinate with SLDC and the RE developers to get the necessary forecasted inputs.
- Ensure the Demand supply position based on contract requirements (Long, Medium, short, Day-Ahead, Intraday and RTM).
- Ensure Procurement Planning, optimization, and Energy Portfolio Management, energy and DSM bill verification.
- Ensure Market participation strategy (DAM, TAM, and RTM) of Power Exchanges, price forecasting, and volume risk-mitigation.
- Ability to monitor real-time demand, generation, schedules, and market positions on a 247 basis, identify deviations, and take timely corrective actions.
- Good understanding of MERC and CERC regulations,



particularly DSM Regulations, GNA/TGNA, Open Access, scheduling, energy accounting, and power market regulations
- Ensure Energy Accounting for OA consumers in accordance with the MERC and CERC Regulations.
- Ensure Deviation Settlement Analysis (Technical/Operational) and Database management of static and dynamic parameters of Generators.
- Ensure Comprehensive and scalable reporting dashboard which covers all key parameters of Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) operation / modules and the reports would be exportable to various format like xls*, csv, pdf and .xml.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with officials STU, SLDC, CTUIL, RLDC, Generator, vendors, and internal team.
- Monitor EPM milestones and facilitate timely resolution of issues.

Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare a Standard Operating Procedures with timelines for each type of Activity and ensure compliance of the approved procedure.
- Support any other procurement and tendering activities assigned by the Client.
- Strong coordination skills with SLDC, RLDC, DISCOMs, generators, RE developers, power exchanges, customers and site teams
- In Depth knowledge of regulatory and capable to provide regulations summery and support to client in regulatory matters.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and procurement best practices within the project.

C. Required skill set

- Knowledge of data management and forecasting model development and analysis.
- Utilize statistical models and forecasting techniques to predict future energy demand, refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability with IT team
- Good understanding of demand pattern of utilities within India across the months and scenario analysis consideration while forecasting (Experience of Maharashtra is preferred)
- Detailed knowledge of power scheduling (Inter and Intra), exchange bidding, and market operations. Transparent understating of PPA, PSA, LOA, T-GNA application, NOC and DSM.
- Strong understanding of Energy Portfolio Management,



including power procurement planning, portfolio optimization, demand–supply balancing, contractual obligations, and cost optimization
- In-depth understanding of SLDC, RLDC, and DISCOM scheduling processes, including Day-Ahead, Intraday, Real-Time scheduling, schedule revisions, and coordination with generators, consumers, and site teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data and make recommendations.
- Generate daily, weekly, and long-term energy load forecasts and communicate forecast results to Stake holder.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance forecasting capabilities
- Knowledge of Tender process of ST and MT tender, familiar with DEEP and other tendering options.
- Knowledge of products and its timelines traded on various exchanges like IEX, PXIL or HPX with OTC platforms like NAME and GNA energy.
- Power Trading and Power Purchase cost optimization
- Knowledge of regulatory matters is desirable and highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office applications.
- Experience working with State DISCOMs, Government Utilities, Power Trader or Power Sector Consulting organizations will be preferred.

D. Education and Experience

- BE/ B. Tech or MBA (Candidates with B.Tech and MBA may be preferred but not mandatory).
- Atleast 2 Years’ experience in Power Procurement, Scheduling and forecasting of a Power Utility / Discom/ Trader company or Power utility consultancy company.
- Knowledge of CERC/ MERC regulations, Procedures and capable to understand relevant orders including PPA, PSA and related documentation
- Knowledge of Power system, Demand Side Management and Power purchase principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and technical documentation.

E. Location

- Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad, Maharashtra).
- The role will involve working in shifts from client location office(s) and regular interaction with utility officials.
