Air Ticketing Executive
Company: BAI Infosolutions Private Limited – CoTrav
Location: Gurgaon (On-site)
Experience: 1-3 year
Shift: Night Shift
Industry: Travel & Hospitality | Corporate Travel Services
Employment Type: Full time
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Associate, you handle the day-to-day domestic ticketing workload on your own. You will issue tickets, process routine changes and cancellations, and manage your own request queue against agreed turnaround times.
You will also begin working on international point-to-point bookings and learn how fare rules, reissue penalties and refund calculations actually behave in practice. Senior team members remain available for complex cases, but you are expected to know which cases are complex and to route them early rather than late. This is the level where CoTrav expects you to stop needing checks on routine work and start being someone other people can rely on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ticketing & Issuance
- Independently handle domestic and international bookings end to end: search, hold, confirm, issue.
- Apply the corporate travel policy, preferred airlines and approved fare bands when presenting options.
- Issue tickets within agreed TAT and within ticketing time limits, managing GDS queues so that no PNR auto-cancels.
- Apply correct fare, tax and service-fee components as per structure.
Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

- Raise and track refund requests with airlines and consolidators, and follow up until credit is received.
- Maintain clean documentation for every change original booking, revised booking, charges applied and client approval.
Client & Airline Coordination
- Handle clients and travel-desk queries on schedules, seats, meals, baggage and web check-in.
- Coordinate with airline and helpdesks for schedule changes, seat requests and standard service issues.
- Keep clients proactively informed on schedule changes and cancellations rather than waiting for them to ask.
Records & Reporting
- Keep booking records, refund trackers and daily MIS complete and accurate.
- Share daily status on pending refunds, unissued PNRs and open queries with the reporting executive.
- REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate, with 1–3 years of hands-on air ticketing experience in a travel agency, TMC, consolidator or airline process.
- Working proficiency in at least one GDS — Galileo, Amadeus or Sabre — including PNR creation, fare quote and ticket issuance.
- Practical understanding of domestic fare structures, taxes, cancellation rules and baggage policies.
- Exposure to corporate or B2B travel is preferred over pure leisure retail experience.
- Good English communication, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable with rotational shifts.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- GDS proficiency (Galileo / Amadeus / Sabre)
- Domestic ticketing accuracy and speed
- Basic fare rule interpretation
- Cancellation, refund and penalty calculation
- Queue and time-limit management
- Prioritisation across a live request queue
- Professional client communication
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Your routine bookings are issued the first time correctly and do not come back as corrections or ADMs.
- Your TAT on standard booking requests is consistently met, including during peak volume.
- Refunds you raise are tracked to closure you know the status of every open refund in your name without being asked.
- You escalate complex cases early and with the full context attached, rather than after the problem has grown.
