What You’ll do at Ather:

Generative AI is reshaping how every team at Ather works — from engineering and design to operations, supply chain, and business functions. The AI Enablement team exists to turn that potential into everyday practice: helping colleagues fold AI tools into their real workflows, surfacing high-value use cases, and building the internal resources that make adoption stick. We are looking for an AI Enablement Engineer who is equal parts tinkerer and translator — someone who experiments relentlessly with modern AI tools, explains what they learn in plain language, and has the foundational Python skills to build the lightweight automations that connect it all together.

Just as importantly, you’ll help make sure the AI we put in front of colleagues is reliable — testing outputs, catching failure modes early, and building the quality checks that let people trust the tools.

- Use-Case Enablement: Identify, scope, and stand up AI-assisted workflows for teams across Ather, partnering directly with colleagues to move ideas from experiment to reliable daily use.
- Prompt Engineering & Reusable Assets: Systematically test and optimise prompt variations to improve outputs, then package what works into reusable prompt libraries, templates, and best-practice guides the whole organisation can draw on.
- Training & Documentation: Create clear how-to guides and quick-reference materials that help non-technical colleagues get real value from AI, and help design and run internal enablement sessions.
- Technology Research: Monitor emerging AI trends, models, and tool releases; evaluate them hands-on and compile findings alongside practical business use cases for internal review.




- Automation & Troubleshooting: Write Python scripts and lightweight integrations to connect tools and automate workflows, and act as a first point of help when colleagues hit common roadblocks.
- AI Output Quality & Evaluation: Build and maintain simple evaluation suites (“evals”) that score AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and groundedness, curating golden test sets from real usage so we can catch quality drops before a prompt or model change ships.
- Guardrails & Human-in-the-Loop Review: Run regular spot-checks and lightweight red-teaming on high-visibility AI workflows — probing for hallucinations, unsafe or off-brand responses, and tricky edge cases — and turn what you find into repeatable test cases and clear guardrail recommendations.

Here’s What We Are Looking for: Our ideal candidate is a self-directed learner with a genuine tinkerer’s instinct for new tools and the communication skills to bring others along.

- Foundational Python: Comfortable writing Python for scripting and lightweight automation, including making API calls, with a working knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control.
- Generative AI Fluency: Practical, hands-on fluency with up-to-date Generative AI tools and prompt engineering techniques, and a real understanding of how they apply to everyday business workflows.
- Use-Case Sense: Ability to identify, scope, and prioritise high-value use cases, and to design and optimise prompts for consistent, reliable outputs.




- Enablement & Communication: A talent for translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and for creating enablement resources — guides, templates, and prompt libraries — that people actually use.
- Resourceful Troubleshooting: Basic debugging and problem-solving using documentation, forums, and AI assistants, with the initiative to unblock both yourself and your colleagues.
- Tinkerer’s Mindset: Curiosity and initiative in exploring new tools, a strong service orientation toward helping colleagues, and adaptability in a fast-changing technology landscape.
- Quality & Evaluation Instinct: Solid software-testing fundamentals — test design, edge cases, and regression thinking — with curiosity about how they change for non-deterministic AI systems, plus fluency in evaluation ideas like relevance, groundedness, and hallucination rate. Hands-on experience with at least one evaluation framework (DeepEval, Promptfoo, or Ragas) and one LLM-observability platform (LangSmith or Langfuse) for scoring, tracing, and monitoring AI outputs.

You Bring to Ather:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. Strong recent graduates and career-switchers with a demonstrable portfolio of AI experiments or automations are encouraged to apply.
