Role Description The AI Agent Engineer will design, build, and optimize AI agent workflows and systems that support NextMantra AI’s talent intelligence and assessment platforms. This full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram involves collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to implement multi-agent architectures, integrate large language models (LLMs), and create robust, scalable pipelines for AI-driven interviews and evaluations.

The role includes developing and maintaining APIs and microservices,



enhancing context management and tool usage for agents, and improving performance, reliability, and security of AI components in production. The AI Agent Engineer will also monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, refine prompts and agent behaviors based on feedback and analytics, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices. Participation in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives is expected to align AI agent capabilities with business objectives.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in software engineering and backend development (e.g., Python, Node.js, or similar languages) to design and implement production-grade AI agent systems.
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs), AI frameworks, and orchestration tools for building multi-agent workflows and tool-using agents.
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI-driven applications.
- Familiarity with data processing, logging, and observability tools to track agent behavior, performance, and reliability in real-world environments.
- Understanding of security, privacy, and responsible AI practices in the context of candidate assessment and enterprise solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and translate business needs into AI solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
