Role Objective

Lead the strategy, governance, and operations for customer master data across the organization. Ensure data accuracy, standardization, and compliance with business and regulatory requirements. Drive process improvements, implement quality controls, and enable seamless integration with sales and marketing, and finance systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align master data practices with enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategy & Governance: Define and implement the enterprise-wide MDM strategy for customer masters.
- Policy Management: Establish data governance policies, standards, and SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Master Data Quality: Monitor and improve data quality, completeness, and accuracy through validation rules and audit mechanisms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:



Collaborate with sales and marketing, finance, and IT teams to align data needs and ensure business continuity.
- Process Standardization: Drive standardization of master data creation, modification, and deactivation processes across business units.
- Tool & System Integration: Oversee MDM tool implementations and integrations with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Data Lifecycle Management: Govern the complete lifecycle of customer master data with controlled onboarding and cleansing.
- Issue Resolution: Lead resolution of master data issues, anomalies, and exceptions through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards for master data.
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs related to MDM health, such as duplicate rate, completeness score, and error reduction.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the MDM team, fostering a culture of accountability, data stewardship, and continuous improvement.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives related to master data, including process updates, training, and communication plans.

Job Specifications

Experience

-Senior AGM- 10 to 12 years in MDM / Data Governance roles

- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and processes is advantageous
