Overview

Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire an Actuarial Consultant for FRS Actuarial. You will work on a variety of client service projects under the supervision of more experienced consultants and with appropriate client contact. These services include funding valuations, accounting disclosures and government forms. The primary focus of the Consultant is to “Check” the work efficiently and effectively.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

- Reviews annual actuarial valuation reports, communicates key issues, and provides necessary guidance and
- coordinates decision points to signing actuary.
- Provides leadership and training to analysts and is generally responsible for the management of the client tasks.
- Prepare and support the review of government filings and regulatory deliverables, including Form 5500 schedules, PBGC filings, AFTAP certifications, and other compliance-related requirements.
- Produce and review pension accounting disclosures and accounting results under applicable standards (e.g., ASC 715), including reconciliation of year-on-year movements and analysis of key drivers.
- Undertake quality reviews of work prepared by junior analysts, providing constructive feedback and escalating technical or data-related issues where appropriate.




- Collaborate with onshore consultants, project managers, and reviewers on more complex plans and assignments, taking increasing ownership of deliverables and supporting project coordination.
- Support the training and development of junior team members through knowledge sharing, coaching, and guidance on actuarial processes, tools, and best practices. Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and standardisation initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency across actuarial deliverables.‌

About you

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree; 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge in relevant regulations where appropriate to role (e.g., state and federal benefits regulations, underwriting, benefit or insurance products).

Preferred:

- Professional accreditation as Associate, Society of Actuaries (ASA) and/or Fellow, Society of Actuaries (FSA), or Fellow of the IFoA (FIA or equivalent).
