Role Description This is a full-time Accountant role based in Raurkela with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll calculations as needed.

The Accountant will support monthly and annual closing activities, prepare basic financial reports, and help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies.



The person in this role will also coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as auditors and vendors, to resolve finance-related queries.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, and financial statements.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel for spreadsheets, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance relevant to Indian businesses, including GST, TDS, and basic regulatory filings.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with operations, management, and external partners such as auditors and vendors.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; skilled certifications are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, trading, or industrial sectors in India will be considered a strong asset.
