Academic Counselor

Job Summary

We are looking for an Academic Counselor to guide prospective students, understand their learning and career goals, explain suitable courses, and support them throughout the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students through calls, walk-ins, and online enquiries.
- Understand students’ academic background, interests, and career goals.
- Explain course structure, duration, fees, learning methodology, and career opportunities.
- Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into admissions through effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in CRM or internal systems.
- Coordinate with trainers and academic teams to provide accurate course-related information.
- Address student and parent queries professionally and provide timely assistance.
- Achieve assigned counselling and admission targets while maintaining a positive student experience.
- Participate in seminars, career guidance sessions,



and student engagement activities when required.
- Prepare regular reports on leads, follow-ups, conversions, and admission status.

Requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling and convincing abilities.
- Customer-focused approach with good follow-up skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and CRM tools.
- Previous experience in academic counselling, admissions, education sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Freshers with solid communication skills may also apply.
