About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and Academic Counsellor – Career & Course Guidance to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and student-handling skills, along with experience in academic counselling, admissions, or educational sales.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding students' career goals, recommending suitable courses, guiding them through the admission process, and maintaining effective follow-ups to ensure a positive counselling experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel walk-in students, enquiries, and leads on suitable courses and career opportunities.
- Understand students' educational background, interests, and career goals to recommend relevant programmes.
- Explain course curriculum, duration, fees, learning methodology, projects, and career opportunities clearly.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions through effective counselling.
- Maintain qualified and regular communication with students and parents.
- Maintain daily counselling reports, CRM updates, lead status, and follow-up trackers.
- Coordinate with trainers and management regarding batch schedules and student requirements.
- Work towards monthly admission and counselling targets.
- Participate in seminars, student events, career guidance sessions, and promotional activities.
- Ensure a positive, professional,



and supportive experience for students throughout the admission process.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Academic Counsellor, Education Counsellor, Student Counsellor, or Admissions Counsellor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and student-handling skills.
- Experience in lead follow-up and admission conversion.
- Basic understanding of IT and professional training courses.
- Experience in an educational institution, training institute, or EdTech environment is preferred.
- Ability to work with targets, deadlines, and multiple enquiries.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Confident, presentable, proactive, and student-friendly attitude.
- Willingness to learn and understand new courses and technologies.
