Role Overview

/n

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership across React Native mobile

/n

applications, Java-based backend services, APIs, and integrations. The role will translate solution

/n

architecture into high-quality implementation, guide engineers, resolve complex technical issues, and

/n

support predictable delivery of payment requests, bill splitting, contact-based payments, and open

/n

banking journeys.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

∙Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient mobile and

/n

backend solutions.

/n

∙Translate solution architecture into detailed technical designs, implementation patterns, and

/n

engineering work plans.

/n

∙Provide hands-on leadership across Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs,

/n

integrations, and React Native mobile channels.

/n

∙Drive coding standards, code reviews, testability, engineering quality, technical debt

/n

reduction, and reusable patterns.

/n

∙Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, UX, React Native engineers, API

/n

engineers, testers, and Dev Ops teams.

/n

∙Own technical estimation, dependency identification, implementation risks, release readiness,

/n

and delivery-level technical decisions.

/n

∙Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across mobile, API, integration, and backend

/n

layers.

/n

∙Ensure implementation meets security, performance, scalability, resilience, observability, and





/n

operational requirements.

/n

∙Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and uplift engineering capability within

/n

the delivery pod.

/n

∙Contribute to Agile ceremonies, CI/CD adoption, automated testing, production support, and

/n

continuous improvement.

/n

Required Skills & Experience

/n

∙6-12 years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of enterprise

/n

delivery teams.

/n

∙Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, object-oriented design, and

/n

distributed systems.

/n

∙Experience designing and integrating secure REST APIs, third-party services, and event-

/n

driven or asynchronous workflows.

/n

∙Positive understanding of React Native architecture, Android/iOS integration, mobile lifecycle,

/n

authentication, deep linking, push notifications, and secure storage.

/n

∙Strong system-design capability covering scalability, availability, resilience, performance,

/n

caching, observability, and failure handling.

/n

∙Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions, automated quality

/n

gates, and release governance.

/n

∙Proven experience leading code reviews,



resolving complex technical issues, mentoring

/n

engineers, and influencing delivery decisions.

/n

∙Experience managing technical estimates, dependencies, risks, and implementation outcomes

/n

in Agile delivery environments.

/n

∙Banking and financial services domain experience in one or more areas such as Payments,

/n

Open Banking, Wealth and Asset Management, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking,

/n

Corporate Banking, or Capital Markets.

/n

Desirable Experience

/n

∙Payment request, bill splitting, digital wallets, transaction processing, consent management,

/n

or third-party bank integration.

/n

∙Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, API gateways, and

/n

event streaming.

/n

∙OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, API security, and regulated financial-services

/n

delivery.

/n

∙Experience working with large financial institutions, consulting teams, or distributed

/n

engineering organizations.

/n

Qualifications

/n

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline,

/n

or equivalent professional experience.

/n
