Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate asset assessment to facilitate secure lending, contributing to the bank's commitment to responsible financial services and customer trust.
Responsibilities:-
- Conduct thorough and exact appraisal of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring adherence to industry standards and bank policies.
- Evaluate the purity, weight, and market value of gold assets using standardized testing methods and tools.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes impacting asset valuation.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to provide accurate asset valuations that support loan sanctioning decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal audit standards related to gold appraisal and loan collateral management.
- Document and report appraisal findings accurately, maintaining detailed records for audit and verification purposes.
- Identify and flag any discrepancies or potential risks in gold asset submissions, escalating issues to senior management as necessary.
- Participate in periodic training and development programs to enhance appraisal techniques and stay current with industry best practices.
- Support the development and refinement of appraisal procedures and policies to improve operational efficiency and risk management.
- Assist in customer interactions related to gold loan appraisal queries, providing clear and professional explanations.
