A SEBI-licensed consumer fund in Delhi is hiring its first Vice President — Investments. ₹400 Cr first fund, backed by an established wealth platform. First close within weeks, three transactions already in diligence. A six-person team, so this person owns deals end to end — origination, diligence, negotiation, and the founder relationship afterwards.

Cheque sizes of ₹5–20 Cr, sweet spot ₹10–15 Cr. Pre-Series A and Series A, 80% consumer. Six to nine years, with at least three inside a fund writing equity into private companies. Delhi, in office.

The role

- Reporting to the Managing Partner. In office, Delhi.
- Originate. Find companies, meet founders, build a pipeline that is not inherited
- Form a view. Develop and defend a thesis on categories and companies
- Execute. Modelling, diligence, negotiation, documentation, closing
- Stay with it. Manage portfolio companies alongside the Managing Partner. Some you will run alone
- Hold the line on compliance. A day or two a month once streamlined. You are the face that ensures it is in order
- Build the team. The Associate and Analyst report into this seat
- LP management sits with the Managing Partner and is not part of this role — though it may open up later for someone who shows the aptitude for it.

Who this suits

- Six to nine years overall,



with at least three inside a fund investing equity into private companies
- Has written cheques in the ₹5–30 Cr range, or can show why they would be at home there
- Consumer background strongly preferred — in the portfolio, not necessarily in the fund’s name
- Genuine depth on the numbers.
- In Delhi, or genuinely willing to move there
- An MBA or CA is welcome. Neither is required.

What is on offer

- Handsome fixed + substantial carry. Path to Principal, then Partner in fund two.
- A defined path: Principal, then Partner in the second fund around year four, with substantial carry
- A licensed fund with live deals and an institutional sponsor behind it. Not a plan
- Chance to work with seasoned professionals

Who this does not suit

- Anyone who is looking for Hybrid/remote. The office will be in Delhi and this is not negotiable
- Wealth management, private banking or AMC product roles
- Credit, venture debt or lending
- Public markets and equity research
- Growth or buyout private equity writing ₹100 Cr+ cheques — the cheque size here is ₹5–20 Cr
