One of our very early-stage AI portfolio companies building in the fintech infrastructure space in the US is looking to hire a Tax Expert to help drive product development as part of their team in India.

Responsibilities

- Translate real-world tax workflows into product improvements
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns
- Identify tax edge cases, complex scenarios, and ways to break the product
- Bring your tax preparation experience to help shape the product roadmap
- Work directly with engineers to explain tax rules and expected outcomes

Qualifications

- A keen desire to be part of the earliest part of startup journey
- CPA
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal individual income tax
- Experienced preparing individual tax returns using qualified tax software such as Drake, UltraTax, CCH, Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar platforms
- Experienced reviewing tax returns, not just preparing them
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organization skills
