Job Purpose

To ensure efficient coordination and execution of Recycled Steel Drum (RSD) lifting operations by liaising with customers, internal teams, and service providers. The role is responsible for optimizing lifting turnaround time, facilitating smooth logistics operations, controlling costs, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the achievement of RSD utilization targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination

- Coordinate daily with customers, Marketing team, plant teams, and lifting contractors for timely lifting of empty Recycled Steel Drums from customer locations to designated plant locations.
- Monitor and facilitate end-to-end RSD movement to ensure adherence to planned lifting schedules and turnaround time (TAT).
- Coordinate with the Plant Commercial team for timely issuance of waybills and other statutory documents required for transportation of empty drums.

Stakeholder Management
- Act as a interface between customer stores, lifting contractors, transport vendors, and plant teams to ensure seamless execution of lifting operations.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, conflicts, and bottlenecks to prevent disruptions in lifting activities.

Vendor Management
- Develop and onboard current lifting contractors and logistics vendors to enhance service availability, improve responsiveness,



and reduce turnaround time.
- Maintain effective relationships with existing vendors and continuously evaluate their performance against agreed service levels.
- Facilitate timely processing of vendor bills as per company SOP and ensure accuracy of documentation.

Financial Control & Reconciliation
- Coordinate for timely verification and submission of lifting contractor invoices.
- Ensure monthly vendor account reconciliation and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Support cost monitoring initiatives and identify opportunities for cost optimization in logistics and lifting operations.

MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain various MIS reports related to RSD lifting, vendor performance, turnaround time, utilization, and cost performance.
- Analyze operational data and submit periodic reports to the Head of Department for decision-making and performance review.

Business Support
- Support the RSD business team in achieving monthly and annual utilization targets through effective planning and coordination.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate and implement cost-saving measures while ensuring service quality and compliance with organizational procedures.
