Description

We are seeking a Compliance AI Analyst to support the development and enhancement of AI models, tools, and controls that support compliance activities across the Compliance organization. The role will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Data, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for automation, improve monitoring and reporting, and ensure AI solutions are accurate, explainable, secure, and appropriately governed.

The successful candidate will help design and implement AI-enabled compliance solutions, test compliance owned model performance, monitor compliance risks, and maintain clear documentation. They will also support the responsible use of AI in compliance owned processes.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement AI and machine-learning models for compliance use cases.

- Build tools and automated workflows that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance monitoring, testing, investigations, and reporting.

- Identify opportunities to use AI across areas such as transaction monitoring, financial crime, sanctions, fraud, regulatory change, conduct risk, communications monitoring, customer risk assessment, and compliance assurance.

- Monitor controls that manage risks arising from the use of AI, including data quality, bias, model accuracy, explainability, privacy, security, and inappropriate outputs.

- Establish model validation, approval, monitoring, and change-management processes for compliance.

- Support the development of performance measures, thresholds, alerts, and escalation procedures for AI-enabled compliance tools.

- Support the development of AI policies, standards, procedures, and responsible-AI principles.

- Work with Compliance subject-matter experts to translate regulatory requirements into technical rules, models, controls,



and monitoring scenarios.

- Assess third-party AI tools and vendors, including their models, data practices, security, controls, explainability, and regulatory suitability.

- Partner with Technology and Data teams to integrate AI tools into existing compliance systems and business processes.

- Produce dashboards and management information to demonstrate model performance, risk exposure, control effectiveness, and business impact.

- Support the development of training and guidance to Compliance colleagues on the appropriate and responsible use of AI.

Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, automation, AI governance, model risk, compliance, financial crime, risk management, or related disciplines.
- Hands-on experience developing, implementing, evaluating, or governing AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), natural-language processing, predictive analytics, classification, anomaly detection, and risk scoring.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and techniques, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and responsible AI practices.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar analytical programming languages, with familiarity with machine-learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.




- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including data preparation, data-quality testing, analytical modeling, and interpretation of model outputs.
- Knowledge of the AI/ML model lifecycle, including development, validation, testing, deployment, performance monitoring, version control, auditability, and control design.
- Strong understanding of AI governance and model risk management, including privacy, information security, bias and fairness, explainability, transparency, human oversight, and responsible AI.
- Familiarity with data visualization, APIs, workflow automation, cloud technologies, and low-code platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of compliance and risk management controls and processes, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to enhance control effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proven ability to translate complex AI, data, and technical concepts into explicit business and risk insights and effectively collaborate across Compliance, Risk, Technology, Data, Legal, and Operations.

Desired Experience

- Experience within banking, financial services, insurance, fintech, healthcare, legal services, or another regulated industry.

- Knowledge of areas such as AML, KYC, sanctions, fraud, market conduct, consumer duty, regulatory reporting, or surveillance.

- Experience carrying out AI impact assessments, model-risk assessments, or data-protection impact assessments.

- Experience evaluating third-party AI vendors and technology solutions.

- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

- Relevant qualifications in compliance, data science, computer science, risk management, AI, or a related subject.
