The Exterior Trim Design Engineer (5-10 Yrs exp) is responsible for the design and development of automotive exterior trim components using CATIA V5/V6. The role involves creating robust and manufacturable designs while meeting styling, quality, cost, performance, and vehicle integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive exterior trim parts using CATIA V5/V6.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for:
- Front and Rear Bumpers
- Grilles
- Wheel Arch Claddings
- Roof Rails
- Rocker Panels
- Spoilers
- Moldings
- Garnish Parts
- Pillar and Door Exterior Trims

- Perform feasibility studies and packaging analysis.
- Develop Class A, Class B, and Class C surface-based plastic part designs.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings with GD&T; requirements.




- Conduct tolerance stack-up and assembly analysis.
- Ensure compliance with OEM design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with CAE, Manufacturing, Tooling, Supplier, and Quality teams.
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and design validation activities.
- Support prototype builds and vehicle launch activities.
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues during development and production.
