Profile: PCB Design Engineer

Experience:

3-5 years of skilled experience in PCB design and layout. Hands-on experience in multi-layer PCB design, schematic capture, routing and prototype debugging. Experience in power electronics, SMPS, high-voltage/high-current circuits and/or analog/mixed-signal boards. Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly processes. Roles:

Capture schematics and design multi-layer PCB layouts (2-12+ layers) for medical electronic devices from requirements and block diagrams. Design and lay out power electronics (SMPS, high-voltage/high-current stages, RF energy generators) with attention to thermal management, creepage/clearance, and isolation per IEC 60601-1. Design mixed-signal and analog front-end boards, managing signal integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, and low-noise measurement paths. Perform component selection, BOM creation, and footprint/library management; ensure parts meet cost, availability, and medical-reliability requirements. Run and interpret design checks: DRC, DFM, DFA, DFT, and signal/power integrity analysis.



Generate complete fabrication and assembly packages (Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place, assembly drawings, stackup, impedance control). Support prototype bring-up, board debugging, and root-cause analysis with test and measurement equipment. Prepare and maintain design documentation for the design history file (DHF) and support design transfer to production. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and compliance teams to meet EMC, safety, and regulatory requirements ahead of certification testing. Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement of PCB design standards and libraries. Qualification:

Bachelor//'s degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, E&TC;, or a related engineering field. Proficiency in KiCad for schematic capture and PCB layout. Experience with Altium, OrCAD/Allegro, PADS or other EDA tools will be an added advantage. Strong understanding of multi-layer PCB layout, controlled impedance, stackup design and high-speed/high-power routing.
