Role & responsibilities

- Design the physical arrangement/layout of substations.
- Prepare GA drawings, elevations, equipment layouts, cable/conduit layouts, grounding and lightning protection layouts.
- Work on AIS & GIS substation projects across 33kV765kV.
- Perform calculations for grounding, lightning protection, cable sizing, conduit fill, lighting, etc.
- Select and size major equipment such as transformers, cables and busbars.
- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Transmission Line and Communication teams.
- Review engineering drawings and interact with international clients.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NESC and client standards.
- Lead/mentor junior engineers and perform quality checks.
- Support proposals, estimation, man-hour planning and project scheduling.
- Improve design processes using automation and current engineering tools.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong experience in Primary/Physical Substation Design.
- Experience in AIS and/or GIS
- Voltage range ideally 33kV to 765kV
