Job Summary

The Medior Endpoint Management Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Microsoft SCCM (Current Branch) and Microsoft Intune. This role is hands-on and production-focused, with strong responsibility for software packaging, patch compliance, and endpoint stability in an enterprise Windows setting. The engineer works independently on most operational tasks and escalations, while aligning with senior engineers on architecture and long-term roadmap decisions.

Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain SCCM Current Branch environments
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot applications and deployments
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot collections and queries
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot boundaries and boundary groups
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot content distribution to DPs
- Perform client-side troubleshooting: Software Center issues
- Perform client-side troubleshooting: Client health and communication failures
- Perform client-side troubleshooting: Content download and execution issues
- Use logs and reporting for root-cause analysis (client and server side)
- Manage Windows devices using Microsoft Intune
- Deploy and troubleshoot Win32 applications
- Deploy and troubleshoot Configuration profiles
- Deploy and troubleshoot Compliance policies
- Resolve common Intune issues: Policy and app deployment failures
- Resolve common Intune issues: Enrollment and device sync issues
- Resolve common Intune issues: IME and device check-in problems
- Support co-managed environments (SCCM + Intune)
- Package and maintain applications using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
- Package and maintain applications using SCCM Applications and Intune Win32 apps
- Implement reliable detection rules
- Implement install/uninstall logic
- Implement dependencies and supersedence
- Troubleshoot complex installers: User vs system context issues
- Troubleshoot complex installers: Non-MSI and legacy installers
- Maintain packaging standards and documentation




- Operate Windows patching via SCCM and/or Intune
- Monitor and act on patch compliance reports
- Troubleshoot patching issues: Not applicable updates
- Troubleshoot patching issues: Stuck or missing patch states
- Troubleshoot patching issues: Windows Update agent and registry conflicts
- Support security- and CVE-driven remediation efforts
- Act as L2/L3 escalation for endpoint-related incidents
- Perform deep troubleshooting using SCCM client logs
- Perform deep troubleshooting using Intune Management Extension logs
- Perform deep troubleshooting using Event Viewer and registry analysis
- Create and run PowerShell remediation scripts
- Proactively identify recurring issues and propose improvements

Required Technical Skills

- SCCM Current Branch (hands-on operational experience)
- Microsoft Intune (device and app management)
- Windows 10 / Windows 11 enterprise management
- PowerShell scripting (operations remediation)
- PSADT for application packaging
- Windows patching fundamentals and troubleshooting

Expected Level

- Works independently on standard operational tasks

- Knows where to look: logs, registry, client behavior
