Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed fire fighting system drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop layouts for:
- Fire hydrant systems
- Wet riser systems
- Sprinkler systems
- Fire hose reel systems
- Fire pump rooms
- Fire water tanks
- Fire department connections
- Fire extinguishing systems

- Prepare floor layouts, riser diagrams, sections, details, and schematic drawings.
- Prepare shop drawings based on approved design drawings and engineering requirements.
- Incorporate pipe routing, pipe sizes, valves, sprinkler heads, hydrants, hose reels, and other fire protection equipment.
- Coordinate fire fighting drawings with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other MEP services.
- Review drawings for clashes and coordinate with the design/engineering team to resolve conflicts.
- Update drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on approved site changes and actual installation.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, symbols, legends, dimensions, and revision details.
- Prepare drawing submissions for consultant/client approval.
- Assist engineers in preparing BOQ quantities and material take-offs from drawings when required.




- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors regarding installation drawings and technical changes.
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure drawings are issued with correct revisions.
- Ensure all drawings are prepared accurately and within project schedules.

Required Skills

- Robust proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Good knowledge of fire fighting system layouts and pipe routing.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of fire hydrant and sprinkler system components.
- Understanding of fire pump room and riser arrangements.
- Knowledge of NFPA, NBC, IS standards, and local fire authority requirements is an advantage.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, , Fire & Safety, Drafting, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in fire fighting/fire protection drafting will be preferred.
