We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Design Engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks. The candidate will be responsible for developing precise design drawings, mechanical models, and production-ready fabrication details for steel and sheet metal components. You will collaborate closely with the production, fabrication, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for sheet metal, fabrication, and assembly designs.

- Develop and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation for production.

- Prepare GA drawings, sectional details, and fabrication layouts for manufacturing and client approval.

- Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and resolve fabrication challenges.

- Update existing designs as per revision requests or project specifications.

- Ensure drawing standards, tolerances, and dimensioning comply with company and industry norms.

- Support design automation, template creation, and efficient drawing workflow improvements.





- Coordinate with QC and production teams for design-to-production validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- 3 - 5 years of experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, or related mechanical industries.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, and Drawing modules).

- Robust understanding of sheet metal design principles, material behavior, and fabrication processes.

- Familiar with GD&T;, tolerances, and dimensioning standards.

- Ability to interpret and create detailed mechanical and fabrication drawings.

- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Added Advantage)

- Experience in door/frame/hardware design or metal fabrication industry.

- Knowledge of ERP-based design workflows or design automation tools (VBA, macros).

- Exposure to manufacturing process optimization or production planning collaboration.
