Migration & Forward Deployed EngineerPosition Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Migration / Forward Deployed Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building migration tooling, transformation frameworks, workflow automation, and customer-facing solutions.

The ideal candidate should have experience beyond traditional backend platform development, with a proven ability to design and build reusable tools for migrating customer data, workflows, jobs, configurations, and business processes across systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build migration tooling and frameworks to support large-scale customer and system migrations.
- Develop reusable frameworks for data transformation, validation, mapping, reconciliation, and migration automation.
- Build solutions to migrate customer data, workflows, jobs, configurations, and application settings between platforms.
- Develop utilities and automation to streamline migration activities and reduce manual effort.
- Work with engineering and customer teams to understand source and target systems, identify migration dependencies, and define migration strategies.
- Build and maintain scheduler / workload automation solutions for jobs, workflows, and batch processes.
- Troubleshoot complex migration issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Ensure migrated data and configurations meet accuracy, integrity, performance, and security requirements.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
- Participate in Forward Deployed Engineering engagements, working closely with customers during implementation,



integration, and migration projects.
- Identify opportunities to convert customer-specific solutions into reusable product capabilities and engineering frameworks.
- Contribute to production implementations involving LLMs, Generative AI, or Agentic AI, where applicable.
- Work with cross-functional engineering, product, solutions, and customer teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong software engineering experience with hands-on development expertise.
- Proven experience building migration tools, migration frameworks, or transformation platforms.
- Experience migrating one or more of the following:
- Customer data
- Workflows
- Jobs / batch processes
- Configurations
- Application or platform metadata
- Strong understanding of data transformation, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and ETL concepts.
- Experience developing reusable automation frameworks, rather than one-off migration scripts.
- Experience with scheduler / workload automation / job orchestration technologies.
- Solid problem-solving and debugging capabilities in production environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have

- SAP / ERP implementation, integration, migration, or data experience.




- Experience with major ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience implementing Generative AI, LLM, or Agentic AI solutions in production.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Professional Services roles.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical implementations.
