Role & responsibilities

- Machine Operation: Feed massecuite (a mixture of sugar crystals and mother liquor/molasses) into the centrifugal basket.
- Parameter Adjustment: Set and adjust operational speeds (RPM), cycle times, and wash water cycles to optimize purging and drying.
- Quality Monitoring: Observe sugar crystal color, purity, and moisture levels during the cycle to meet factory standards.
- Discharge & Collection: Discharge separated sugar crystals using mechanical cutting arms or scrapers, and manage molasses flow.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Wash the centrifuge equipment regularly and assist mechanical teams with routine upkeep.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety protocols.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education & Skills: High school diploma or mechanical/electrical trade certification (OND/ITI equivalent).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years working with industrial rotating equipment or sugar house machinery.
- Physical & Shift Work: Ability to work in hot, fast-paced environments on rotational or 12-hour shifts during the crushing season.
