Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct audits of gold loan branches and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Verify gold ornaments, purity, weight, valuation, and loan-to-value (LTV) calculations.
- Check gold custody, storage, security, and physical stock against system records.
- Review loan documentation, KYC, sanction, disbursement, and repayment processes.
- Identify discrepancies, operational gaps, process violations, and potential fraud risks.
- Conduct surprise audits and branch-level checks as per the audit plan.
- Verify cash, gold packets, registers, vouchers, and other branch records.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risks, and corrective actions.
- Follow up with branches on closure of audit observations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with branch teams, operations, credit, and compliance teams during audits.
