Role & responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & P&L; Management

- Develop and execute the national strategy for Machinery Finance & Medical Equipment Finance.
- Own the business P&L;, including disbursements, AUM growth, profitability, yields, and fee income.
- Define annual business plans, sales budgets, and growth strategies.
- Identify recent industry segments, geographies, and growth opportunities.

2. Sales Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing national sales team comprising Regional Managers and Relationship Managers.
- Establish performance metrics and drive sales productivity.
- Monitor business pipelines, conversion ratios, and portfolio performance.
- Conduct regular business reviews and implement corrective actions.

3. Partnership with OEM & Dealer Network

- Develop strategic partnerships with leading machinery manufacturers, OEMs, and authorized dealer networks.
- Negotiate commercial arrangements and program structures with OEMs.
- Expand the dealer ecosystem across targeted markets.
- Conduct periodic business reviews with key OEM partners.

4. Business Development

- Drive customer acquisition across MSME, SME, and Commercial Banking segments.
- Develop sourcing channels through OEMs, dealers, direct sales, and strategic alliances.
- Increase market penetration in identified industry clusters.

5. Portfolio & Risk Management

- Ensure balanced growth while maintaining asset quality.
- Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and early warning indicators.
- Work closely with Credit and Collections to manage portfolio quality.




- Drive portfolio diversification across industries, regions, and equipment categories.

6. Product & Process Development

- Collaborate with Product Management to enhance Machinery Finance offerings.
- Recommend changes in pricing, credit policies, and product features based on market feedback.
- Drive digitization and automation of customer onboarding and loan processing.
- Support implementation of LOS enhancements and technology integrations.

7. Cross-functional Leadership

- Partner with Credit, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless business execution.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks and improve turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

8. Market Intelligence

- Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, pricing, and customer needs.
- Identify emerging machinery segments and financing opportunities.
- Provide strategic inputs for business expansion and new product development.

9. People Management

- Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
- Develop capability-building initiatives and structured training programs.
- Foster a performance-driven and customer-centric sales culture.

Experience

- 15-20 years of experience in Banking or NBFCs.
- Minimum 8-10 years of leadership experience in Machinery Finance, Equipment Finance, Medical Equipment - Proven experience in building and scaling a national business.
- Strong relationships with machinery manufacturers, OEMs, and dealer ecosystems.
- Experience in leading geographically dispersed sales teams.
