A Purchase Executive in the Textile Industrymanages the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging required for apparel and fabric manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement: Find and buy quality raw materials like yarn, greige fabric, dyed fabrics, buttons, zippers, and labels at the best market rates.
Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and monitor vendor performance.
Order Tracking: Create purchase orders (POs), track shipments, and ensure materials arrive on time for production.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, coordinating with warehouse and production teams.
Documentation & ERP:



Maintain explicit purchase records, invoices, and MIS reports using tools like MS Excel or an ERP system

Skills & Requirements
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fabric types, garment accessories, and textile market trends.
Negotiation: Solid bargaining skills to cut procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Experience: Usually requires 1 to 5 years of background in purchasing, supply chain, or retail merchandising
