Pod 4 - Connectivity - Senior Engineer
Pod / Track Pod 4 - Connectivity
Role Title Senior Engineer - Wireless Connectivity (WLAN / Bluetooth / GNSS)
Experience 5 - 8 years
Primary Location Hyderabad, India (Transition phase); HCLTech Offshore Delivery Center thereafter
Work Model Physical co-location at Hyderabad mandatory during Transition (Month 1-3) for knowledge transfer and hardware/lab access; delivery shifts to HCLTech's Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) from Shadow (Month 4-6) onward.
Role Summary
Execute wireless connectivity sustenance tasks - WLAN, Bluetooth and GNSS - reporting to the Pod Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement fixes for WLAN/Bluetooth/GNSS driver and firmware defects.
- Support radio co-existence tuning across simultaneous wireless stacks.
- Execute RF certification validation ahead of customer release.
- Support field escalations involving intermittent RF/connectivity behaviour.
Must-Have Skills
- 5-8 years wireless connectivity embedded systems engineering.
- WLAN/Bluetooth chipset driver stacks.
- RF and radio co-existence tuning.
- GNSS protocols.
- Network protocol debugging tools.
Positive-to-Have Skills
- 5G/cellular WWAN stack exposure.
- Coexistence testing with RF lab instrumentation.
- Matter/Thread or other IoT connectivity protocol experience.
- GNSS assisted-positioning tuning.
