Job Description: Lead Software Engineer / Data Engineering & Cloud Migration Specialist
Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a strong background in software development, cloud migration, data engineering, and DataOps. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data platforms, with hands-on expertise in AWS, modern data warehouses, and production support for large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage data integration solutions using AWS DMS, Oracle CDC, and Java Spring Boot for seamless enterprise data movement.
Develop and support RESTful web services and microservices for database integration, leveraging frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA.
Architect and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data transformation and loading into platforms like Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Lead cloud migration initiatives, moving workloads from traditional databases to cloud-based data warehouses.
Oversee production support activities, including monitoring, alerting, data validation, issue analysis, and root cause resolution.
Automate operational tasks using Shell scripting, Cron jobs, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prepare technical designs, and deliver business-critical solutions.
Provide technical leadership in Agile environments, supporting deployments and continuous integration.
Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for client and internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, and cloud migration.
Proficiency in Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Shell Scripting, COBOL, and JCL.
Deep expertise in AWS (EC2, ECS, DMS, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SNS, Step Functions, VPC).
Experience with databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, PrestoDB.
Familiarity with Big Data technologies: Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Hadoop.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data warehousing, and Star Schema modeling.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Business knowledge in Financial Services (Credit Cards) and Music Industry domains is a plus.
Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design,



development, and deployment of python applications within a microservices architecture.
2. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and deliver scalable cloud solutions.
4. Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment in a cloud environment.
5. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the technical team.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficient in python programming language with a strong understanding of python frameworks.
2. Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
3. Handson experience with cloud platforms such as aws, azure, or google cloud.
4. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like docker and kubernetes.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
6. Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively lead a technical team.

Other Requirements

1.Certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect is preferred.

Compensation and Perks
