This role is pivotal in evaluating incoming startup applications, assess founding teams and ideas, and deliver sharp L1 (first-level) screening feedback. The ideal candidate will understand business fundamentals, market analysis, and the startup landscape. You will conduct in-depth discussions with founders, analyze their business models, and provide valuable insights that help them take their game forward.This is a high-ownership, high-learning role for someone who wants to develop real pattern recognition around startups understanding what separates an interesting idea from a scalable business and a promising startup from an investable one.Key ResponsibilitiesStartup and Idea EvaluationReview and evaluate incoming startup applications across problem, solution, market, business model, competition, team and tractionConduct primary and secondary research on sectors, market opportunities, comparable startups and emerging trendsAssess idea viability, founder strength, market potential and early traction signalsConduct structured discussions with founders to understand the business beyond the pitch deckIdentify critical assumptions, risks,



gaps and unanswered questionsPresent clear, structured L1 recommendations, backed by research and rationaleHelp build and maintain a consistent and defensible startup evaluation frameworkFounder Support & Venture BuildingWork closely with shortlisted and onboarded startups throughout their CCIE journeyChallenge founders to think deeper about their customers, markets, business models and competitive advantageHelp startups sharpen their pitch, positioning, business model and go-to-market strategyIdentify gaps that need to be addressed before investor conversationsSupport founders in preparing for Demo Days, investor pitches and ecosystem opportunitiesBuild Startup PipelineMaintain application/evaluation data and pipeline status in an organized, trackable formatContribute to periodic reporting on pipeline health, conversion rates, and cohort qualitySurface insights that can help team continuously improve how it identifies and supports high-potential venturesWho we are looking for:We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical and genuinely obsessed with understanding businesses.2–3 years of relevant experience in venture capital, startup incubation/acceleration, venture research, business analysis, founder’s office or an early-stage startupStrong ability to independently research and assess an unfamiliar business, sector or market, not merely summarize informationSound understanding of business models, market sizing, competition, GTM and early-stage startup fundamentalsComfort working with ambiguity and making structured assessments with incomplete informationA genuine interest in startups, entrepreneurship and venture investingStrong verbal communication skillsLocation & TypeChitkara University campus | Full-time
