Major Duties and Responsibilities

System Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications for multi-hazard decision support systems
Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces for operational dashboards

Data Integration and APIs
Integrate real-time and historical data from meteorological, satellite, and external data sources
Develop and maintain robust APIs for data exchange and system interoperability

System Architecture & DevOps
Support system architecture design ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment settings

Geospatial Visualization and DSS
Develop GIS-based visualization tools and interactive risk maps.
Support modules related to impact-based forecasting and early warning dissemination

Documentation and Capacity Building




Prepare technical documentation including system architecture, APIs, and user manuals
Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor in line with project needs and priorities.

Deliverables:
Deployment of functional DSS applications aligned with project timelines
Well-documented and version-controlled code repositories (e.g., Git)
API documentation and system architecture documentation
Periodic progress reports and technical updates
Secure system performance with defined uptime and responsiveness benchmarks
