K.J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a 550-bedded medical college and hospital in Sion, Mumbai, is hiring Resident Medical Officers for its Maternity Ward (Obstetrics & Gynaecology).

Key Responsibilities:
Manage admitted antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology patients in the maternity ward
Monitor patients in labour and assist consultants during normal deliveries and LSCS
Handle obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and escalate to consultants on time
Carry out daily ward rounds and follow the treatment plans set by consultants
Maintain accurate case records, admission and discharge summaries
Counsel patients and relatives on treatment and care
Coordinate with nursing staff, NICU and other departments for patient care

Requirements:
MBBS with experience in OBGY / Maternity (preferred)




BAMS / BHMS with hands-on gynaecology and maternity experience will also be considered
Valid registration with the respective Maharashtra council (MMC / MCIM / MCH)
Prior experience in a hospital maternity or OBGY department is essential
Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure
Willingness to work rotational shifts is mandatory
