Job Description – Injection Moulding Operator

Position: Injection Moulding Operator

Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor Injection Moulding Machines as per production requirements.
Set and operate machines as per approved process parameters and work instructions.
Perform mould loading/unloading, mould change support, and machine start-up/shutdown activities.
Monitor critical parameters such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, injection speed and cooling time.
Ensure production of components as per quality standards, drawings and specifications.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of moulded components.
Identify and report defects such as short moulding, flash, burn marks, sink marks, warpage, black spots and colour variation.
Maintain proper 5S, housekeeping and safety at the workplace.
Follow SOP, Work Instructions, PPE requirements and safety procedures.
Record production quantity, rejection, downtime and other required production data.
Handle raw material loading, colour/masterbatch mixing and material drying as per process requirements.
Coordinate with Production,



Quality and Maintenance teams for machine/process-related issues.
Minimize rejection, material wastage and machine downtime.
Support mould trials, recent product development and process improvement activities.
Follow FIFO and proper material identification/traceability.
Ensure proper handling and storage of finished components.

Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Injection Moulding Machines and Plastic Processing.
Knowledge of moulding defects and troubleshooting.
Understanding of 5S, Safety, Quality and Production practices.
Ability to read basic work instructions and production sheets.
Good observation and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in shift operations.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / 10th or 12th Pass with relevant experience in Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing.

Preferred Experience

Experience with automotive plastic components, engineering plastics, insert moulding or multi-cavity moulds will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
