Key Responsibilities

• Establish and operationalise the Central Data Management & Custody function.

• Maintain a central inventory and Data Asset Register covering data volume, location, storage, custodian, backup and delivery status. • Establish controls for Master Copies, working copies, backups, archives and delivery copies.

• Implement Data Chain of Custody and processes for data move and physical storage media.

• Review storage and backup arrangements, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.

• Monitor backup, disaster recovery and restoration mechanisms for critical customer data.

• Implement mechanisms for data integrity, completeness and copy verification, including checksum/hash validation where required.

• Monitor and address risks relating to storage capacity, hardware health, ageing devices, backup failures and single points of failure.

• Establish processes for secure data delivery, customer acceptance and closure.

• Maintain a Data Risk Register and ensure timely mitigation and escalation of critical risks.

• Enforce SOPs covering data storage, backup, movement, archival, restoration and handover.

• Work closely with Project, Operations,



Technology teams across project locations.

Experience: 12+ years of experience in large-scale IT operations, infrastructure, data management or technology programmes, preferably involving distributed operations and large volumes of data.

Education: Engineering / Computer Science / IT or equivalent technical qualification. Relevant certifications in Project Management, Infrastructure or Data Management will be desirable.

Essential Skills

• Solid hands-on understanding of enterprise storage, file systems and data management.

• Experience with NAS, SAN, physical storage media and related infrastructure.

• Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and operations.

• Data integrity, replication and secure data movement.

• Storage and infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Ability to independently investigate technical problems and implement practical solutions.

• Risk identification, incident management and problem resolution.

• Solid stakeholder management and process implementation capabilities.
