Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join EPAM's engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable applications using Java and modern backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
Work with databases and write effective SQL queries.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.




Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Work in an Agile development setting.
Contribute to performance, scalability, security, and reliability improvements.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Core Java.
Positive understanding of Java 8+ features, including Streams and Lambda expressions.
Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
Experience developing REST APIs.
Good understanding of OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java fundamentals.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Knowledge of Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Good understanding of Microservices architecture is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have
Experience with React.js or Angular for full-stack positions.
Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with JUnit/Mockito and automated testing.
Understanding of system design and design patterns.
