Job Description:

A Mechanical Maintenance Engineer ensures machinery runs smoothly through planned and breakdown maintenance, involving troubleshooting, repairing equipment, developing maintenance strategies, managing parts, and ensuring safety compliance, all while minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency for industrial operations.

Core Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
Planning and executing scheduled inspections, lubrication, and routine upkeep to prevent failures.
Breakdown Maintenance:
Rapidly responding to emergency breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and performing swift repairs.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Identifying root causes of mechanical/hydraulic failures using precision tools and repairing or replacing parts.
System Monitoring:
Observing equipment in operation, analyzing performance data, and using monitoring systems.
Documentation:




Keeping detailed records of maintenance, repairs, parts used, and creating maintenance procedures.

Key Duties:
Strategy & Planning:
Developing and implementing maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Inventory Management:
Managing stocks of spare parts, fixtures, and supplies, and placing orders.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensuring all work adheres to health, safety (OSHA, EPA), and regulatory standards.
Team & Contractor Management:
Supervising technical staff, contractors, and coordinating with other departments.
Improvement:
Identifying prospects for process optimization and current technology adoption.
