About the Role

A reputed co-educational CBSE boarding school in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand is looking for an experienced and dedicated Fencing Coach to train and develop students in fencing. The candidate will be responsible for conducting structured training sessions, developing students' technical skills and fitness, and preparing them for competitions and inter-school events.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular fencing coaching and training sessions for students.

- Train students in fencing techniques, footwork, attacks, defence and tactical skills.

- Develop age-appropriate training programmes for beginners as well as advanced students.

- Focus on students' physical fitness, agility, coordination, stamina and overall sporting ability.

- Identify and nurture talented students with potential for competitive fencing.

- Prepare students for school-level, district, state and other recognised competitions.

- Organise practice sessions, drills, mock bouts and fitness activities.

- Monitor students' progress and maintain appropriate training records.

- Ensure proper discipline, safety and adherence to fencing rules during training.

- Guide students on sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit.





- Coordinate with the school's sports department and other coaches for training schedules and events.

- Ensure proper use, care and safe handling of fencing equipment.

- Participate in school sports events, competitions and related activities as required.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant fencing coaching experience.

- Strong practical knowledge of fencing techniques, training methodology and competition preparation.

- Experience in coaching school students or young athletes will be preferred.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate students and maintain discipline in a boarding-school environment.

- Physically fit, energetic and passionate about sports coaching.

- Candidates with relevant fencing coaching certifications or recognised sports qualifications will be preferred.

Additional Requirements

- The position is based at a residential/boarding school, and the candidate should be comfortable working in a boarding-school environment.

- Candidates should be willing to participate in school sports activities and competitions beyond regular training sessions when required.
