Overview

Position Summary

The Senior Finance Analyst supports the Financial Controller, Plastics in delivering financial planning, reporting, analysis and governance activities across the business. The role provides commercial insights to support decision-making, ensures effective financial controls and compliance, and leads a small team while supporting the development and continuous improvement of finance activities delivered through the Global Capability Centre (GCC).

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets and strategic planning activities.
- Coordinate the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial results, forecasts and management reports, providing insights and recommendations to support business performance.
- Analyse operational performance, manufacturing costs, inventory movements and key drivers to identify opportunities to improve profitability and working capital.
- Maintain effective financial controls through balance sheet reviews, reconciliation oversight and compliance monitoring.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 3 Finance Analysts, ensuring quality outcomes, capability development and high performance.
- Partner with the Global Capability Centre to ensure effective service delivery, knowledge transfer and continuous capability development.
- Drive process standardisation, reporting improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls and decision support.

- Translating complex operational and financial data into actionable insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Leading local and GCC finance resources while driving continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement across the business.

Key Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

Mandatory Critical for the Role:

- CA or CPA qualified.
- 5+ years finance/accounting experience.
- SAP or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Excel modelling.
- Budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and compliance reporting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process standardisation.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and product costing.

Desirable Preferable for the Role
- Experience supporting shared services, offshore teams or Global Capability Centre.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP.
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning & Reporting.
- Finance experience in large/medium enterprises.
