Integration Architect

Role purpose: Define and govern enterprise integration solutions that connect cloud applications, ERP, CRM, data, service-management, and digital platforms. The architect will establish target-state patterns, modernize legacy interfaces, and guide delivery teams in building secure, resilient, observable, and reusable integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Define enterprise integration strategy, principles, guardrails, reference architectures, and target-state capabilities.
- Design API-first, API-led, event-driven, asynchronous, domain-oriented, batch, managed file transfer, and data-integration solutions; select the appropriate pattern for each use case.
- Produce high-level and low-level designs, interface contracts, sequence and data-flow views, security models, non-functional requirements, deployment approaches, and architecture decisions.
- Lead modernization of legacy point-to-point, batch, and file-based integrations to governed APIs and events.
- Design integrations involving SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ERP/CRM, billing, customer, finance, data, and operational platforms.
- Establish API lifecycle governance, versioning, reuse, catalogue standards, review checkpoints, and exception management.
- Embed authentication, authorization, encryption, auditability, observability, resiliency, error handling, recovery, performance, scalability, and SLA requirements.
- Partner with engineering, security, infrastructure, data, product, and operations teams from discovery through implementation and production readiness.
- Conduct fit-gap assessments, platform and vendor evaluations, migration planning, solution estimation, technical risk assessment, and architecture reviews.
- Create reusable patterns, templates, accelerators,



and implementation guidance; mentor delivery teams and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Support production governance through change reviews, root-cause analysis, platform upgrades, patching, cybersecurity audits, and continual improvement.
- Communicate architecture options, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Mandatory Experience and Skills

- 12+ years of technology experience, including at least 5 years in integration or solution architecture for complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrable ownership of end-to-end integration architecture across multiple systems, domains, and delivery teams.
- Solid knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, HTTPS, messaging, event streaming, asynchronous processing, SFTP/SSH, JDBC/ODBC, and managed file transfer.
- Hands-on architectural experience with an enterprise integration platform such as webMethods, Azure Integration Services, Google Cloud integration services, or an equivalent platform.
- Experience with IIB or an equivalent event-streaming or messaging technology.
- Experience integrating at least two major enterprise platforms, preferably SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and hybrid integration patterns.
- Proven ability to define security, resiliency, observability, performance, scalability,



supportability, and disaster-recovery requirements.
- Experience producing architecture documentation and governing implementation through design reviews and delivery checkpoints.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor, workshop-facilitation, executive-communication, and technical mentoring skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- TOGAF or comparable architecture certification.
- Cloud solution architecture certification in Azure, AWS.
- Platform certification in Salesforce integration, SAP integration, ServiceNow, or a leading integration platform.
- Knowledge of ITIL, SAFe, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, TM Forum, FinOps, Kubernetes, CSDM, AIOps, or AI-assisted engineering.
- Experience with Customer 360, ERP/CRM transformation, telecommunications OSS/BSS, finance, billing, or customer-domain integrations.
- Experience supporting RFIs, RFPs, vendor due diligence, commercial estimation, and delivery planning.

- Approved integration patterns, standards, guardrails, and decision records.
- Solution HLDs and LLDs, interface specifications, non-functional requirements, and traceability to business requirements.
- Security, observability, resiliency, performance, and support-readiness design.
- Reusable assets, governance artefacts, review outcomes, risks, dependencies, and implementation recommendations.
