MVR Operator

Salary: 27,000 To 33,000 CTC per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MVR Operator to operate and monitor the Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) system and associated equipment in an industrial wastewater treatment/evaporation plant.

The candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient MVR operation, monitoring process parameters, handling routine operational activities, maintaining records and supporting troubleshooting and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. MVR Plant Operation

- Operate and monitor the MVR system as per SOP and operating procedures.
- Monitor MVR operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, vacuum, flow, level and conductivity.
- Ensure proper operation of evaporator, circulation system, pumps, heat exchangers and associated equipment.
- Perform proper start-up, shutdown and changeover procedures.
- Monitor plant conditions and take corrective action during process deviations.
- Ensure continuous and stable operation of the MVR system.

2. Equipment Monitoring

- Monitor the condition and performance of:
- MVR compressor
- Evaporator
- Feed and circulation pumps
- Condensate pumps
- Heat exchangers
- Valves and pipelines
- Vacuum system
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Check for abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, pressure or temperature variations.
- Report equipment abnormalities and breakdowns immediately.

3. Process Monitoring

- Monitor feed flow, concentration, temperature, pressure and other critical parameters.
- Ensure proper circulation and evaporation of wastewater.
- Maintain required operating conditions for efficient evaporation.




- Monitor condensate quality and system performance.
- Support optimization of MVR operation to maintain secure plant performance.

4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support

- Identify basic operational problems and take immediate corrective action.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team during equipment breakdowns.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting pumps, valves, pipelines, instrumentation and MVR-related equipment.
- Follow proper isolation and safety procedures before maintenance activities.

5. Shift Operations & Reporting

- Maintain daily MVR operating log sheets and checklists.
- Record process parameters, equipment running hours and abnormalities.
- Maintain proper shift handover records.
- Communicate operational issues to the Shift Incharge/Site Incharge.
- Ensure smooth handover between shifts.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all site safety rules, SOPs and work instructions.
- Use appropriate PPE while operating the plant.
- Follow safe practices during chemical handling and equipment operation.
- Immediately report leaks, unsafe conditions and equipment abnormalities.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around the MVR plant and operating area.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Degree.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in MVR / Evaporator / ETP / ZLD / Wastewater Treatment Plant operation.
- Hands-on experience in operating industrial MVR or evaporation systems will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, vacuum systems and process equipment.
- Good understanding of process parameters and plant operating procedures.
- Ability to identify basic equipment and process abnormalities.
- Willing to work in rotational shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
