Quality Engineer (Manual Testing & Automation)

Overview: We are looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality software. This role will focus primarily on manual testing, exploratory testing, business workflow validation, and defect prevention, while also contributing to test automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Execute manual testing for web applications, APIs, integrations, and business workflows
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and release testing
- Validate business requirements and customer-critical workflows
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Verify data accuracy and business rules using MySQL and AWS RDS
- Test integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Build and maintain automated test cases for key user journeys using Playwright or similar tools
- Contribute to quality checks and automated testing within GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in validating authentication, authorization, input validation, and security-related requirements
- Investigate issues using application logs, monitoring tools, and database queries
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering,



and Support teams to improve product quality

Qualifications:

- 24 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or quality engineering
- Strong manual testing and exploratory testing skills
- Experience with API testing and backend validation
- Experience with MySQL and database testing
- Experience using GitLab for source control and collaboration
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes
- Exposure to Playwright or other test automation frameworks
- Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
- Familiarity with PHP applications, preferably CodeIgniter
- Understanding of AWS RDS and application monitoring concepts
- Valuable analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
