Technical Product Manager Glass Fittings

Role Purpose

The Technical Product Manager Glass Fittings will own specific glass fittings categories end-to-end, combining technical expertise with commercial and market-driven decision-making. The role focuses on driving category growth, pricing strategy, market positioning, and sales enablement.

This role is ideal for candidates with an engineering background, good understanding of architectural glass, hardware, and fittings, and a mindset that balances technical excellence with revenue and market share growth.

Educational Background

- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or related field
- MBA / PGDM (Marketing, Product Management, Operations, or Strategy)

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Ownership & Strategy

- Own assigned glass fittings categories and define product roadmap, growth strategy, and product mix
- Identify market gaps through research, customer feedback, and competitor benchmarking

2. Product Development

- Translate market and customer requirements into technical specifications (materials, finishes, load ratings, dimensions, and standards)
- Lead new product development, upgrades, and cost optimization in collaboration with R&D;, design, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality and safety standards

3. Commercial & Market Responsibilities

- Develop pricing strategies for different channels (retail, projects, OEM, export)




- Define packaging and presentation aligned with brand and installation convenience
- Conduct competitor benchmarking on features, pricing, finishes, and warranty

4. Product Launch & Go-To-Market

- Plan and execute product launches including positioning, timelines, and marketing collaterals
- Track post-launch performance and incorporate market feedback for improvements

5. Sales Enablement & Business Growth

- Work closely with sales and business development teams to expand category reach
- Support solution-selling by recommending the right product mix for specific applications
- Conduct product training for internal teams and external stakeholders

6. Product Lifecycle & Performance Management

- Monitor sales, margins, complaints, and returns
- Drive product improvements, SKU rationalization, and lifecycle management

Experience Requirements
