- Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the secure, effective, and economical delivery of drug treatments
- Participate in dispensary operations, including clinical and accuracy checking of prescriptions and dispensed medicines
- Ensure compliance with Medicines Ethics and Practice, local policies, risk management, and safety protocols
- Dispense and supply medicines
- Manage receipt, storage, and supply of controlled drugs per hospital policy
- Handle purchase returns of expired medicines
- Maintain records and handle narcotic substances
- Arrange for unavailable medicines from nearby pharmacies
- Hand over cash to the cashier
- Conduct quarterly stocktaking
- Manage receipt of indents and prescription dispensing
- Use dispensary/store systems to generate stock lists and labels
- Order items for departmental use
- Receive, load, and unload goods from wholesalers/manufacturers
- Deliver pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy, wards, and clinical areas
- Handle routine queries from patients, their representatives, public members, and staff, escalating as needed.
Note:
- This role involves rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Karnataka State registration is mandatory.
