We are looking for a NOC Engineer to monitor telecom networks, manage alarms and incidents, coordinate with field/technical teams, ensure SLA compliance, and support timely restoration of network issues.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end incident monitoring and coordination from alarm identification through ticket closure and RCA.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor telecom network elements, alarms, outages and network performance on a continuous basis.
- Identify, validate, classify and acknowledge critical and major network alarms.
- Create, update, prioritize and close incident/trouble tickets within defined TAT and SLA.
- Monitor BTS/eNodeB/gNodeB, transmission, power and other applicable telecom network elements.
- Coordinate with field engineers, technicians, circle teams and technical teams for fault resolution.
- Follow up on open/pending tickets until complete restoration and closure.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical/high-impact incidents as per the escalation matrix.
- Provide regular status updates on major outages, incidents and restoration activities.
- Monitor SLA/TAT compliance and proactively highlight potential SLA breaches.
- Identify recurring network issues and support RCA and preventive action.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly NOC MIS/reports covering alarms, tickets, ageing, SLA, outages and productivity.
- Maintain proper shift handover and documentation of pending tickets and critical incidents.
- Follow defined SOPs, customer processes,
escalation matrix and security/compliance requirements.
- Work in coordination with customers, OEMs and internal technical teams whenever required.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Telecom Network Operations / NOC processes.
- Knowledge of network alarm monitoring and incident management.
- Understanding of BTS, 2G/3G/4G/5G, transmission and telecom network elements.
- Experience in ticketing tools and incident tracking.
- Good understanding of SLA, TAT, escalation and ticket ageing.
- Positive coordination and follow-up skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a 247 rotational shift environment.

Qualification
Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in Telecom NOC / Network Operations / Managed Services / Telecom Operations and exposure to customers/OEM environments such as Ericsson, Nokia, Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea, etc. will be preferred.
