Key Responsibilities

- Lead audit engagements from client acceptance and planning through completion and reporting.
- Establish engagement strategies, assess significant risks, and ensure audit procedures appropriately address clients operations and control environments.
- Oversee audit matters involving financial instruments, valuation, expected credit losses, revenue recognition, custody, safeguarding, regulatory reporting, and third-party service providers.
- Review accounting judgments, estimates, complex transactions, financial statements, audit findings, and governance communications.
- Maintain responsibility for engagement quality, documentation, budgets, resources, profitability, and delivery timelines.
- Act as the primary contact for senior management, finance teams, boards, audit committees, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor financial services regulatory developments and assess their implications for audit engagements.
- Consult with partners and valuation, technology, tax, and regulatory specialists on complex or higher-risk matters.




- Lead and develop engagement teams through effective delegation, coaching, performance management, and technical guidance.
- Promote the effective use of audit technology, data analytics, and efficient delivery practices.
- Contribute to proposals, fee discussions, recruitment, training, and practice-development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

- A recognized skilled accounting qualification, such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Substantial external audit experience within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing audits of banks, investment managers, funds, brokers, payment businesses, fintech companies, or other regulated financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable accounting, auditing, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading teams and managing senior client relationships.
